When 12 string acoustic guitars have grown the popularity among mass guitarists in between early 60s, it was hard to find till companies such as Rickenbacker began to develop electric guitars.

Generally, the 12 string guitars have a semi- excavated body shape. The center tone stops the increased prolong of tone and the excavated chambers increase the attribute of 12 strings.
