What is the best Electric Bass Guitar for a beginner to start with?
Im 20 years old and i would like to start playing bass. Im not planning on taking any lessons, i plan to teach myself. I just wanna know what bass guitar is best to start with. Plan to play jazz/r&b/soul type music.

Squires are nice, but are very hit and miss. (ie you can get a great one or a piece of crap).
On the lower end, I’d go with a low line Ibanez, or if you want to get something a bit unique, Epiphone has some nice basses too.
Whatever you do, have a friend who already plays, try it out for you before you buy it. You don’t want to blow a few hundred bucks on a piece of crap
