Make Your Own Acoustic Guitar

What do you use when making your own songs?
I’m looking to make some songs by myself at home, but I need to know what I need exactly. I can record through a microphone with my acoustic and electric guitar’s, and get vocals to be recorded, but hat’s all I have at the moment.
What program is good for constructing songs?
What program is good for making simply drum beats?
What program is good for recording my instrument through directly?
It’d be great if all three could be on the same program, I’m sure there’s one out there that I can use.
Freeware preferable thanks.
Cheers
if you have a mac, garage band is one where you can select different insturments.
for recording, i would suggest audacity in where you record anything and change pitch, tone, etc.
